International Journal of Arts and Social Studies

ASSTUDIES is an international refereed and indexed scientific journal published twice a year electronically since 2018. It is free.

The journal includes applied or theoretical studies, analysis, and evaluations, quantitative and qualitative research in Turkish and/or English.

The main purpose of ASSTUDIES is to contribute to interdisciplinary scientific studies, especially in fine arts. 

ASSTUDIES is an international peer-reviewed and indexed scientific journal published twice a year electronically since 2018.

The journal includes applied or theoretical studies, analysis and evaluations, quantitative and qualitative research in Turkish and / or English.

Articles should be prepared in "Office Word" program in A4 size. It should not exceed 15 pages in total, including tables, figures and bibliography.

The "Abstract" part should be written in 150-250 words, 9 font size and 1.5 line spacing with "Times New Roman" character. At least 3 keywords should be written.

The Turkish title of the article should be 14 pt. And the English title should be centered 10 pt. Page layout; Left: 2.5 cm, Right: 2.5 cm, Top: 2.5 cm and Bottom: 2.5 cm.

Articles should be written in 11 font size, 1.5 line spacing and justified. Paragraphs should be "0 pt" before and after spacing. In my writing, there should be a break of one character after commas and periods. In the paragraphs, the starting indent is "first line" and 1.25 cm; paragraph indent should be right and left "0" cm. No additional blank lines will be left between paragraphs. Other arrangements will be made by the journal editors. The name and surname of the author (s) should be specified under the title of the article in 12 pt and "Times New Roman" character. Title, institution and e-mail information should be shown as a footnote in 9 pt, single line spacing, italic and in italics. Headers, footers or page numbers should not be included. Figures and Tables should be given in the text. The name of the figure and the title of the table should be placed above the figure and table. Figures and table numbers should be given as 1, 2, 3, ...

Main subject and sub-topics in the article 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., 1.1.2., 1.1.2.1. should be numbered with decimals such as. All the letters of the names of the main subjects should be written in capitals, and only the initials of the sub-topics should be written in capital.

Publication Ethics
The publication processes of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES) are based on the unbiased production, development and sharing of information using a scientific method.
Peer-reviewed articles are studies that ensure the application of the scientific method and impartiality. In the realization of scientific production, all components of the publication process; publishers, editors, authors, referees and readers must comply with ethical principles. In this context, the publication ethics and open access policy of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES), in line with the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in open access (For example, the "Publication Ethics Committee ( COPE) Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors; “Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors” and “COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors”) require that all components of the publishing process comply with ethical principles.
If situations such as manipulating and distorting the data used in the articles and using fake data are detected, this situation will be officially reported to the institution where the article writer works and the article will be rejected. Our journal has the right to request the output files of the analysis results from the authors according to the feedback given by the editor and / or the referees.

Responsibilities of the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES)
• The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES) strives to continuously improve the journal and increase the quality of its publication.
• The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES) ensures that journal policies such as publication, blind review, evaluation process, ethical principles are determined and implemented.
• The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES) protects the copyright of the authors of the articles published in the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES).
• The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES) is responsible for taking measures regarding intellectual property rights, unscientific-unethical behaviors, plagiarism, posting (citation) gangs during the publishing process of articles and journals.
• The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES) prepares an “Author's Guide” containing the information requirements of the author (s) and a “Referee Guide” containing the information that the referees will need during the evaluation phase, and updates it when necessary.
• The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES) sets policies that encourage referees and author (s).
• The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Arts and Social Studies (ASSTUDIES) keeps the records of each article and correspondence related to the journal electronically or in print.

Ethical Responsibilities of Editor, Assistant Editors and Field Editors
• Editors endeavor to meet the information needs of referees, author (s), researchers, practitioners and readers, to provide feedback when necessary, to act according to the principles of clarity in matters that require correction and explanation during the publication process.
• While deciding on the publication of articles, editors pay attention to the authenticity of the articles and to contribute to the scientific literature, readers, researchers and practitioners.
• While making positive or negative decisions about the articles, editors take into account the original value of the articles, their contribution to the field, the validity and reliability of the research method, the clarity of the expression, and the journal's purpose and scope.
• Editors take the submitted articles to the pre-evaluation stage as long as there is no significant problem, consider positive referee suggestions, and do not change the decisions made by the previous editor (s) unless there is a serious problem.
• Editors apply the policies of blind review and evaluation process, which are among the publishing policies of the journal, keep the identities of the referees confidential, and ensure that each article is evaluated objectively and within time.
• Editors send the articles by taking into account the field of expertise of the editors and referees, and they support the impartial and independent evaluation.
• Editors take into account whether there is a conflict of interest between the editors, referees and author (s) for unbiased evaluation of the article.
• Editors seek to ensure that the referee pool consists of a wide variety and is constantly updated.
• Editors avoid unscientific evaluations that do not follow academic etiquette.
• Editors should ensure that the journal publishing processes are managed in accordance with publication policies and guidelines
